1. Observation of silence due to the demise of the Asia Print’s President,
H.V. Sheth:
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, one minute of silence was observed
by the Members before a commencement of the Interactive Meeting of Asia Print.
2. Discussion regarding vacancy in the office of the President, Asia Print:
Mr. John explained that as per Law of Succession, 1st Vice President
automatically becomes President and the second Vice President will be as 1st
Vice President. This was duly noted by the House.
3. Website development for Asia Print.
During the discussions, the undersigned requested the House for providing
relevant details for development of Asia Print Website. It was also unanimously
decided by the House that the Secretariat of Asia Print will be located in India
until the election of the new President, and the website work will also be taken
care of by India (IPAMA).
4. Other items with the permission of the Chair.
i) During the meeting, Miss Belle stated that there should be more interactive
meeting conducted among the members when there is an Exhibition held by our
members. This is for a proper understanding of the requirements or needs of
each other. It will help them in extending necessary support and assistance. Miss
Belle also suggest that the Asia Print should recruit more members and
Associate members. She also vouch for Mr Zulkhor Shahin to be an Associate
member and he agreed. This were agreed by all the Members.
ii) Mr. Mohan also informed the House about the organization of COLLATE 2018
exhibition from March 08 - 10, 2018 at Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre,
Colombo, Sri Lanka. He invited the Asia Print members for the same.
iii) The representative of Thailand Kasma Print, Bangkok, informed the House about
their exhibition and also explained the details of the terms and conditions and
other relevant information for participation.
iv) The representative of Krista Exhibition Indonesia, Ms. Audrey, invited the Asia
Print members to participate in their exhibition scheduled to be held in
November, 2017.
v) Mr. Zulkor Shahin, who was a special invitee from Printing Industries Association
of Bangladesh, informed the House that they have more than 1000 members.
However, they are not organizing any exhibition in Bangladesh.
vi) Mr. Tu Zheng, China, who attended the meeting on behalf of Mr. Lu Changan,
President of CPSC, appreciated the members of Asia Print for extending
necessary support and cooperation for CHINA PRINT exhibition. He also
confirmed that a factory visit will be arranged by them during PRINT CHINA
2019, Guangdong, for the Members of Asia Print.
vii) The newly promoted President Mr. Rajan Fernando was accompanied by Mr.
Sanjeev Mohan. Mr. Mohan explained that there are around 8000 printers in Sri
Lanka. He requested the members of Asian Print to train their printers for web-
offset machines. The undersigned confirmed that necessary arrangements will
be made by IPAMA for the said purpose.
viii) Mr. John, Legal Consultant and Member from Philippines explained about the
exhibition to be held in October.
ix) Mr. Sanjeev Mohan from Sri Lanka and the undersigned highlighted the point of
Best offers for Asia Print members for participating in exhibitions or for
sponsoring business delegations or business visitors so that a necessary support
is extended to each other. This will also enhance the confidence of the members
to a considerable extent.
